Kent's new radio show, "Hurley Morning Coffee" is up and running and airs every Wednesday at 6am on www.worldwidebluegrass.com. He plays two hours of some of the best bluegrass music around. He also features information on various bands as well as giving you the dates from the "More Playin' Out" email that keeps us up-to-date on concert information here in the area. Hurley Ridge to Play Benefit for Foster Kids, Saturday, October 17th, 2009

Hurley Ridge will be helping raise funds for foster kids by playing at a fundraiser at Good Barn Field on University of KY campus on October 17th, 2009, at 11AM til Noon. The fundraiser will include a cornhole tournament and tailgate party. For more information check out our schedule on our concerts page.

Hurley Ridge to Play for Childhood Cancer September 26, 2009

Hurley Ridge will be playing for a cause near and dear to a lot of people including bandmembers. We have all lost members of our family to cancer and cancer has no boundaries as we have all discovered. Many children who have struggled and/or lost their lives to this disease. We are glad to be able to play at Ahoy Fish Hutt at 2902 Bardstown Road in Louisville on September 26, 2009 for Childhood Cancer. Check out our concert page for more dates.

Hurley Ridge will be playing at the Anderson(Lawrenceburg) Community Park to help raise funds for the Charitable Contributions that Kentucky employees give to. KECC gives money to many needy causes and is a great organization. For more information check out our Concert page.

Hurley Ridge Featured on New Local Compilation CD

Hurley Ridge is on a new cd entitled "Sound Local" from Citizens Create at www.citizenscreate.org. This new compilation release is original music from artists in the Lexington, KY area. "Old Tall Cedar" is the song that is featured by Hurley Ridge on the cd. You can by it at CD Central or online at their website.

Sept. 7th Concert Raises $1,166.00 For Hurricane Relief 2005

Hurley Ridge had a concert at the corner of Desha And Fincastle in Lexington, KY. Kent's neighbors gave $1,166.00 for Hurricane Relief 2005. At times like this when we don't always have the means, money or "know-how" to help it is good to be able to gather people together to give, to make aware, entertain and/or just be able to send a thought, prayer or some "good energy" to those in need. We were impressed with the families that brought their children there and involved them in helping those less fortunate.
